		<description>I can&#039;t believe you have Bromfield so high. He&#039;s not a good writer. He&#039;s just not. I think you&#039;ve been hypnotized by your completest compulsion --- just because you spent so many hours with doesn&#039;t mean he doesn&#039;t suck. :P 

I also find it funny that you have One of Ours so low --- to me it really seems like it hinges on the fact that you were semi-spoiled with that book, that is, since you knew the subject as &quot;young man goes off to war&quot; all this stuff happened that felt like leaden foreshadowing to you, whereas I didn&#039;t have that expectation that the war experience was the point of the book, and so the plot felt a lot more open and flexible to me. I think it&#039;s a flawed book, but I&#039;d have to put her above Bromfield --- way above --- on pure style. Lewis and Tarkington are both better writers than Bromfield. Does quality of sentence and paragraph count for nothing, missus? What is the world coming to, if so? Hrumph.</description>
